Water polo, baseball, volleyball, badmitten, football, hockey (ie Waynes world), tennis, golf, basketball, swimming, running, skateboarding, bmx, shuffleboard, pool, darts, cards, I could go on.

With the exception of baseball and maybe cards (if its considered a sport), I doubt those sports would be played by people in areas of depravation.

Skateboarding is pretty big in developing countries as well as bicycles. I really think it falls back on the parents and what they bring the child up on, I mean how do you become a fan of Curling (The sweeping ice so a stone can slide)?
Anywho, look for USA to be taking home the majority of the gold this olympics.

I'm fully expecting GB to clean up in the cycling, rowing and sailing again. Those three are 'our' sports. Not too hopeful about our athletics chances. We do OK at boxing as well I guess.
